We chose our farm name as Shady Maple Acres. We have several mature sugar maple trees in our yard. In the heat of summer, their shade is welcomed. In the fall, their beautiful changed leaves are breathtaking. We also will be attempting to make maple syrup from their sap, this year. Hence, the name was fitting for our homestead on 40 acres.

Shady Maple Acres is the home of ADGA registered name "MAPLE HIGHLANDS" Nigerian Dwarf Goats. . . all goat babies will have this name as the beginning of their registered name.

Our whole herd has been tested negative
for CAE and Johne's as of 09/20/2017

We also raise AKC Great Pyrenees
livestock guardian working dogs with a serious work ethic.
